Michele Mactaggart, President 

Michele can help your company navigate the complex world of employee benefits. 

Building on her career as a Group Insurance Specialist with Great West Life in 1993, Michele founded Bensol Consulting in 2004. She is a Certified Health Insurance Specialist, and is working her way towards a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designation.

A well-designed employee benefit plan plays an important role in the ability to attract and retain the talent needed to build a successful business. Michele is committed to helping her clients design and implement the type of high-quality employee benefit plans that are consistently associated with good jobs, quality workplaces, and high employee loyalty.

Michele is an active member of the Guelph Chamber of Commerce and a former volunteer member of the Board of Directors of the Children’s Foundation of Guelph-Wellington (2005-2012).

As part of her personal commitment to fitness, Michele completed the Subaru Ironman 70.3 in Muskoka in September 2010. Watch for her on her bike at fundraising events and community outings in Guelph-Wellington.

Janet Bistretzan, Administration

Janet joined the Bensol team in 2015 with over 15 years’ experience in Group Insurance administration and service.  She is committed to providing the highest level of administrative and client support services to ensure Bensol clients get everything they need out of their group benefit plan.  Janet’s goal is to ensure all client questions and concerns are resolved in a cheerful, articulate and timely manner.

With a love for the outdoors, Janet enjoys hiking the Elora Gorge and biking area trails.  Each October, Janet takes part in the CIBC Run for the Cure with family and friends.  After work, she enjoys time spent with her husband and their cat, Pickles.
